The ALL STEEL sliding door framing system is fabricated entirely from 14 and 16 gauge galvanized steel. By using steel, the problems generally associated with wood framed doors are virtually eliminated. These problems include inconsistency of material, warping and splitting of members, and joints that loosen through use and the failure of the fastening devices.

The continuous guide rail has two very important functions. The first is to hold the door panel down firmly so the wind cannot damage or destroy the door panel by lifting it away from the side of the building. The other function is to guide the door panel along the side of the building keeping the door away from the building and thus, eliminating any possible damage to the siding on the building.
